1993

Krishna Beads

Krishan Gopal starts Krishna Beads — beads, trims, embellishments. The craft was always there.

1995–2005

Branching Out

Scarves, bags, fashion jewellery. The group learns to work across categories and materials.

2010

First Shoes

The move into footwear. First international brand partnerships begin.

2012

First Award

Government of India “Best Exporter” award. The first of four.

2017

Firkee Starts

Firkee Accessories is born. A dedicated footwear company with its own design studio in Lower Parel.

2018

Fourth Award

Fourth Best Exporter award from the government. At this point it’s a habit.

2020

The Factory

Vasai facility expands. Everything under one roof — cutting to packing, no subcontracting.

2022

Design Studio

Launched in-house design studio in Lower Parel, Mumbai — separate from the factory for creative independence.

2024

1,530+ Shipments

1,530 export shipments and counting. 8+ brand partnerships active across multiple markets.

“

We started as an embellishment company. The move to footwear was natural.

From Krishna Beads Industries (est. 1993) to Firkee — three decades of fashion manufacturing excellence from Mumbai, India.

Today we design and manufacture from two locations — the studio in Lower Parel, Mumbai, and the factory in Vasai. We work with brands across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

We’re not the biggest manufacturer. We’re the one that gets the design right.

Pratul Maheshwari is the driving force behind Firkee Accessories – the footwear manufacturer that has redefined excellence in the industry. With a passion for quality and an unwavering commitment to the art of shoemaking, Pratul’s vision is to transform the way we think about sustainable footwear.

Prashant Maheshwari

Co-founder and CEO

Prashant Maheshwari is the Co-Founder & CEO of Firkee, a footwear manufacturing company based in India, serving clients across domestic and European markets. At Firkee, we are building a quality-first footwear manufacturing operation with a sharp focus on delivering products that meet the standards of both Indian and European markets. As a leadership team, we oversee everything from production and supply chain to business development and market expansion — always with an eye on scaling smartly and sustainably across new geographies and product lines. Prashant brings over a decade of experience in business operations, process reengineering, and organisational scaling. Prior to Firkee, he held leadership roles in the fashion accessory export industry and earlier worked as an Equity Analyst at TransMarket Group. He holds a Master's degree in Financial Management from Alliance Manchester Business School. An avid board gamer off the clock.
